The city’s faring poorly when it comes to handling proper, hygienic disposal of human and kitchen refuse. Any number of factors might be responsible for this.

Treating this huge load of solid waste generated is not always feasible to the municipalities due to numerous economic and organizational constraints. Compost is nature’s own way of recycling organic waste materials into a rich soil containing humus that benefits nature by enhancing soil quality. Though the process of composting may naturally take place in the environment, it may depend on numerous factors such as quality of waste, the climate, the abundance of biodegraders and most importantly the type of microbial population that dominates the entire process of composting.
